Thomas Huriez

Thomas Huriez

1083

Biographie
Founder of 1083 and visionary entrepreneur, Thomas Huriez is a pioneer of ethical fashion and "Made in France." In 2013, he took a bold gamble: to relocate jeans manufacturing to France, from spinning to garment making. His company, 1083, takes its name from the number of kilometers separating the two most distant cities in mainland France (Porspoder and Menton). Its model is based on a promise of radical proximity: no jeans travel more than 1083 km to be made. Beyond industrial relocation, Thomas Huriez champions a circular economy with innovations like the "Infini" jeans (recycled and recyclable). By reviving forgotten textile skills, he demonstrates that a local, ecological, and job-creating production model is not only possible but also economically viable.
